Meet the Filmmakers Read a Synopsis FAQ The Bottom Line

Hey, thanks for visiting our site!

CHECK OUT: The Ponyman on Facebook

It's true: Artificial Khaos Films is producing an independently financed feature film called "The Pony Man," to be shot January - May of 2011 in Seattle, WA and Vashon, WA and released in time for the holiday season.

It is with your deeply appreciated participation that we are turning an original screenplay into three months of shooting, several more of editing, and finally (the payoff) dozens of screenings, mostly at independent film festivals scattered throughout the Pacific Northwest.

It is a truly gratifying experience to spend most of our year laboring over a project such as this, watching it come together piece by piece, until the moment we can turn to our fellow indie film producers and say, "That's it! We're done. Now let's show it to people!" We know. We've done this before. Of course, that was a 27-minute short called The Checkout Girl that we produced in 2009, not a feature-length film featuring Seattle’s best acting talent and a 35-year old pony named Gypsy.

And this is where we humbly solicit your assistance.

As you'd expect, producing a feature film costs much more than producing a short. There are more actors and crew-members to be fed, more locations to visit, more days to shoot, and, to top it all off, we decided to tell a story that revolves, at least in part, around a 500 hundred pound pony. You might have noticed the image of a cowgirl on the right hand side of this page, which leads to a donations page. If you could spare the time and money to take a few steps down this path with us, I can promise you the very heartfelt gratitude of entire cast and crew.

And thank you very much, regardless of whether or not you choose to donate, for taking a moment to read this.
